Joseph
R. Cianfrone earned his law degree from Seton Hall University
School of Law (J.D. 1977) and is a graduate of Montclair
State University, Montclair, New Jersey (B.A. 1974). Mr.
Cianfrone spent one semester at the Loyola University, Rome,
Italy campus in 1972, and attended his first year of law
school at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Prior
to the current partnership of Cianfrone, Polster & De
Furio, Joseph R Cianfrone was a partner with Rayburn, Lerner
& Cianfrone. In 1993, Mr. Cianfrone joined the law firm
of Becker & Poliakoff, P.A.
In 1990,
Mr. Cianfrone joined the FDIC/RTC and concentrated on the
management and disposition of large commercial real estate
properties for the government. He was responsible for numerous
transactions including a $40,000,000 planned unit development
located in Broward County, Florida.
In 1983,
he joined K. Hovnanian Enterprises, NYSE symbol HOV, a real
estate development company, as Florida Division Counsel.
In the six years with K. Hovnanian Enterprises, he coordinated
the development of 2,000 condominiums for the company as
Regional Manager/Counsel.
Commencing
in 1978, Mr. Cianfrone was in private practice in Vero Beach,
Florida for over five years. He concentrated in the areas
of association law, real estate, business law and governmental
law. He is past President of the Exchange Club of Indian
River County, and a former member of the Indian River County
Bar Association. Mr. Cianfrone served as Chairman of the
City of Vero Beach Board of Adjustments and Appeals for
over five years.
Mr.
Cianfrone's recent civic involvement includes having served
as a Director of the Palm Harbor Little League and Palm
Harbor Soccer organizations. Mr. Cianfrone has served as
Director and Past President of the Suncoast Chapter of Community
Associations Institute (CAI).
Mr.
Cianfrone currently concentrates his practice in the areas
of association law, real estate and business law and represents
over 250 Community Associations.
He is
the author of Your Association Documents: Should They Be
Revised?,Bankruptcies and Assessments, Powers and Duties
of the Board of Directors and What To Do Before You Litigate,
along with other articles, published in Condo Management
Magazine. He has been a speaker at numerous seminars for
the Community Association's Institute, the Greater Clearwater
Association of Realtors, Inc., and is a frequent guest on
FLA LAW (Live Call-In Television).
