Stephan C. Nikoloff earned his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (J.D. 2005) and is a magna cum laude graduate of the Katz School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh (B.S.B.A. 2002). Mr. Nikoloff also spent a semester at the Universitat Pompeau Fabra, Barcelona, Spain in 2003 studying European Union law.

Prior to his current Associate position at Cianfrone & DeFurio, Mr. Nikoloff was a Managing Attorney at Macey & Aleman, serving in the Pittsburgh office. As the head of the Pittsburgh office, he supervised cases dealing with Chapter 7, 11, 12, & 13 bankruptcy matters. He focused his individual practice on complex small business Chapter 11 and 13 reorganizations.

Mr. Nikoloff is also a former member of the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, where he served as a certified legal intern in the Bureau of Consumer Protection and Department of Charitable Trusts and Organizations. In that capacity, he monitored the activities of not-for-profit organizations and charitable contributions. Additionally, while working the Bureau, he litigated claims on behalf of the citizens of Western Pennsylvania for violations of the Consumer Protection Act.

Mr. Nikoloff is currently admitted to practice in the State of Florida as well as in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

He currently focuses his practice on association law and creditor rights.
